Change the earned income tax credit (EITC), so that it is NOT a refundable credit. It will save the government billions.

Earned income tax credit(EITC), was enacted in 1975, to help low to medium income tax payers. It has been expanded several times since then. Now it has become a huge tax burden, costing the government billions each year.It is widely abused by taxpayers, who have no intention of working any more than they have to , in order to receive these huge credits. Most of the recipients are already living off the government,by way of free housing,welfare checks,food stamps, free health coverage, and more federal programs.They do not have to report any of this federal income, and still get the EITC. Change the EITC so that it is no longer a REFUNDABLE credit, and the federal government will save billions every year. It is no longer doing what it was intended to do.
