Overriding majority of scientists recently polled have agreed that human practices have had a deleterious effect on the environment causing climate change and resulting in super storms, tsunamis, droughts, flash fires and other conditions adverse to human well being and requiring great expense. The Union of Concerned Scientists has been consistent in its resolve to move from fossil fuels for energy due to carbon dioxide emissions causing global warming. We have witnessed the loss of animal and bird life in some of the highest terrains, e. g. mountain song birds in South America. This is the canary in the coal mine. We need to take note of the changes occurring world wide e.g. ice caps melting and land usage lost. These signs tell anyone there is no time to lose. We must go green now.
