Our education system was founded during the Industrial revolution for the need of factory workers and bright minds to make us industrialize more. It has always been that core curricular activities revolved around Math, Science, English, and History, and has tamed creativity and outside critical thinking. Children all around the country are memorizing knowledge that is based on making Lawyers, Doctors, and Professors. Those who lacked intelligence in these subject are considered to be uneducated and are urged to leave their dreams behind, but do to a new age, it seems that educational standards need to be based on our economy. We do not need to train children to become something that there are no jobs for. We need to change our education standards to be based what there are jobs for.
