Change election day from a Tuesday to a Saturday

Every two years, many Americans head out to the polls for election day. Since 1845, election day has been held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. For many Americans, this day falls on a tradition working day. To make it to the polls, we have to either vote before work, during our lunch or after work. This, at times, can be very inconvenient. Voting on a Tuesday has led to long lines at the polls during these times. This could be alleviated if election day was changed to a Saturday. Fewer people work on Saturday which would allow for more people to head to the polls and vote and improve voter turnout.
