Change election day from a Tuesday to a week long event to give everyone a chance to vote.

A single day for voting disenfranchises the working class. The voter turn-out routinely falls under 50%, and compromises the ability to vote for those who have required daily routines. There should be several days for people to vote so that anyone who wants to will be able to, from students to the working class.
