Polarization and bipartisan stratification of the government has crippled democracy. An increasing number of voters are declaring themselves to be "Independent" as this is the only true bipartisan position in the US and it represents the will of the people rather than a biased political view, those voters civil rights are violated due to exclusion from the process of choosing those who will run for election.

Therefor, I petition the federal government to amend the election laws to allow registered independent voters to participate in the primary process with out obligation to vote for any candidate from either party
