Donald J. Trump, along with John Quincy Adams, Rutherford B. Jones, Benjamin Harrison, and George W. Bush all won the office of President of the United States without actually winning the majority of the popular vote. This is a perversion of democracy, and leads to the minority ruling the majority. The Electoral College voting system is undemocratic for that very reason, and it should be replaced with a more proportional voting system such as the Alternative Vote (Instant-Runoff voting), which just passed in Maine. It leads to everyone being represented fairly by the President. As shown by Maine's referendum, it is possible to implement this more fair system. Everyone who cares about the integrity of our election system thanks you for paying attention to our referendum.
