As Americans, we have a right to vote. However, during the election, I feel as though our rights were not upheld. Using our rights, we voted for Hillary Clinton as president, but the electoral collage system gave our vote, our say, in government, and threw it away. The system is old, and needs change. I will not say who I supported in the election, nor do I think the result should be changed. That would be too complicated, and not a good solution. However, I have friends who will not vote because they think it doesn't matter, and when each state in the electoral college is essentially determined by the cities, if you live in a small community, does your vote count? I want Congress to give us a better say in government, to make our votes count, and to show that America is a true democracy.
