We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Change the Electoral College voting system into one that more accurately reflects voting statistics.

Created by C.H. on November 09, 2016

The Electoral College system negatively impacts the way votes are cast by lumping them all together in a winner take all system. The system gives states with smaller populations get more power in the elections. The electoral college also creates swing states, allowing Presidential candidates to ignore almost all other states. In twenty four states, including South Dakota, Texas, Pennsylvania, and New York, the electors who cast the ballots for the electoral college can vote for whomever they choose.

This is a bad system, and if it is fixed, it could very easily benefit everyone come election season.
