Change the Electoral Vote system to an Alternative Vote system where people rank their votes instead of just getting one

The electoral college voting system is not the best system for electing our president. As you can see, this past elections was pretty close, leaving half the country with the candidate that they did not want. However, Obama won by a landslide. Now, i'm not complaining that Obama won, because I am happy about it. However, the electoral collage is an outdated system, intended for use with a country that has no means of efficient mass communication. Now that we have the technology, I propose that we establish a new vote system, the Alternative Vote, where each person ranks the candidate. Find more information about Alternative Voting here:
