The EPA requirements for portable fuel containers are absurd and the new containers are useless. It is not possible to use one of the new designs without spilling fuel all over the vehicle and operator. This creates a dangerous hazard for the operator. I have experienced this myself. The removal of vents from fuel containers is also a design flaw because the spout has to allow fuel to flow and air to vent into the container which again makes the spillage worse. These cans were designed to prevent spillage and pollution but they have only aggravated the problem. The EPA should be forced to revisit this problem and lift or modify their new standards so that adequate designs can be implemented to produce a quality product.
