Change the equal opportunity employment to outlaw credit checks and and use of credit info. during hiring process

Created by C.H. on October 15, 2011

Employers can currently conduct credit checks and use credit history when considering applicants. Employers should not be allowed to use this information against applicants with less than perfect credit history. Ammend equal opportunity employment under The Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include credit history. With unemployment currently as high as it is applicants should not have to worry about current and past credit mishaps taking them out of the job market.
