Change the face of the twenty dollar bill from Andrew Jackson to someone more deserving

Created by S.P. on November 25, 2015

Andrew Jackson is not a man that is befitting enough to be a prominent face of the economy, he knowingly defied congress and started the trail of tears, Indian Removal Act and his version of manifest destiny committing the largest genocide the Americas have ever known. Because of his racism and hatred for the native people of America over 46,000 people died. A man like this is not a symbol that the American people should have to see every day and use to survive they should see the face of someone inspiring someone who actually embodies what America stands for. Examples of people who would be better for the $20 bill include Chief Pontiac of the Ottawa people, Harriet Tubman, President Theodore Roosevelt, or even captain Steven Rogers a fictional character is a more deserving man.
