Simply put Andrew Jackson was a pretty violent guy, a racist, and a murder throughout his Presidency. Andrew Jackson had duels outside the White House where he killed men for the sake of wounded pride (or for kicks, we're not sure). One of the man's parting words was that he regretted not killing his vice president. He also created the Trail of Tears by ignoring our constitution and not giving the judicial branch of government the respect it deserved, quoting: "[Supreme Court Justice] John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!" - Andrew Jackson.
