Change family laws on abuse for children. So courts consider abuse in ALL forms punishable by law not just physical.

Created by S.F. on June 25, 2013

Courts overlook "emotional/mental/verbal" abuse. Abuse Is Abuse, and should in all forms, be punishable by law. “Emotional abuse is defined so vaguely and, generally, it is viewed as less harmful than other forms of abuse, when in fact it is just as detrimental. According to the Journal of Child Abuse and Neglect, child abuse is "any recent act or failure to act on the part of a parent or caretaker which results in death, serious physical or emotional harm, sexual abuse or exploitation, an act or failure to act which presents an imminent risk of serious harm".Different jurisdictions have developed their own definitions of what constitutes child abuse for the purposes of removing a child from his/her family and/or prosecuting a criminal charge.
