After a Monday Holiday, we go to work on Tuesday yet, Tuesday feels like a Monday anyway. It doen't feel like we've had a day off at all. By changing the official day off to Friday, workers really get a three day weekend, starting right after work on Thursday.
Wouldn't you rather go out on Thursday night and have Friday off than go out on Sunday and have Monday off? There's nothing to do on Sunday night! Or go out of town for a long weekend and have Friday at your destination instead of Monday?
