The goal of this petition is to fully legalize marijuana for recreational and/or medicinal use. Much research has been done on this drug and has shown that the negative effects are less harmful than the other drugs available to us for recreation use legally. Our great nation has an opportunity to boost the economy, provide jobs, and restore freedoms and liberties that our founding fathers intended for us to have. Marijuana has been grown at the White House by a few of our founding fathers. A large majority of the country wants this to happen according to the latest polls, and I believe we should take this opportunity to boost us from this recession like we did with alcohol after prohibition.
