The Feres Doctrine protects the Military from lawsuit regarding all incidents of negligence regarding military service, allowing a Commander in battle to think like a Commander. However, it also allows doctors that work for the military to avoid punishment for negligence, which has caused the deaths of service members and families, and these doctors go unpunished. A doctor, who loses a license in the civilian world for negligence, is allowed to practice in the military. This is wrong, and needs to be stopped. These healthcare providers need to be held accountable for their actions, especially if a spouse or child dies because of it, which has already happened numerous times. If they know they can be punished, they will be more careful, preventing needless injuries and/or deaths.
