Although, the Ten Amendments have done a decent job on making the government fair, there is one that is sometimes taken advantage of and used unfairly. The 5th Amendment prevents any individual from being convicted for the same crime twice. While this amendment may seem fair, it prevents criminals from serving the justice they deserve if they are proven innocent by mistake. For example, the Emmett Till case. He was not supported by the bias all white jury, and his killers, despite admitting to the crime later, never got arrested. All in all, the change that should be made is, if someone is proven guilty, they should face charges despite the number of times they were convicted.
