Change the focus from gun control to making mental health assistance more accessible for the general population.

As an er nurse I often hear from patients that there is not enough support readily available for mental health care. Hospitals are not able to prescribe anti-depressants and such because they cannot safely follow the patient. The reason I tie this in with gun control is because most, if not all, of the mass shooters have been diagnosed as having mental health issues. So maybe instead of trying to take our guns away, maybe, Mr. President, we should switch the focus to helping people figure out why they feel like everybody hates them and giving them the help they need to not feel like they need to go kill.
