14-year-old Suvir Mirchandani introduced a simple and effective cost saving measure the US government could implement to save potentially hundreds of millions of dollars per year.
By switching the default font from Times New Roman to Garamond for the Federal Register and other government printing, the US government could save upwards of $136 million per year. There is an added benefit that readers of the Federal Register will be filled with warm delight as they marvel at the thin graceful curves of the Garamond font.
