To change the Fourteenth Amendment Section One that states "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." TO All persons born or naturalized in the United States, WITH ATLEAST ONE AMERICAN PARENT, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." Section one was created to grant slaves citizenship in 1868. Slavery is no longer an issue in America though. However, illegals are giving birth in American hospitals using this amendment to their advantage. This causes numerous problems for our society. We have enough problems, such as national debt, that we need to focus on getting rid of loopholes in the system.
