Change 'In God We Trust' to 'In (the theoretical) God(s/desses) We (may/may not) Trust' in order to include everyone.

Created by C.N. on November 08, 2011

Change 'In God We Trust' to 'In (the theoretical) God(s/desses) We (may/may not) Trust' in order to include every American's beliefs.

This is a response to the official statement here: https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions#!/response/religion-public-square

The statement reminds us that the American people have the right to practice or not practice any religion they so choose. 'In God We Trust' implies only one God however and that he undeniably exists. This petition calls for this edit in order to include all persons and religions. This way religion can be represented for all people in the public square rather then only the small portion that 'In God We Trust' allows for. This edit would truly 'represent the important role religion plays in American public life'.
