Instead of having a day in which everyone is forced to pay homage to murder weapons, why not instead have a day dedicated to the memories of all those killed by said weapons?
There can be national memorial services to honor those killed by gun violence, and perhaps the sale of new weapons and the issuance of new gun permits can be suspended that day.
