To change HIPPA to require HIPPA to be posted and a copy be given upon request, rather than a signature for each person.

Created by J.E. on March 28, 2013

Requiring a copy of HIPPA and a signature to prove receipt does little to protect the rights of people. The law has been in effect for long enough, that most people are well aware of it. To require a copy be given for each person, at each medical facility has resulted in many individuals to receive multiple copies on a single day. It can be especially cumbersome for individuals with health issues that require several different medical professionals. Their rights would be protected if a copy of the law was required to be posted and a copy to be given to any individual, upon request. Rather than requiring that they receive a copy at each location and the proof, by their signature, be kept on file.
