The point of veterans' educational benefits is to help veterans be able to focus on coursework and strengthen skills without additional stressors. It's completely illogical to pro-rate basic allowance for housing (BAH) based on number of days per month in the classroom.
Accruing the unused days or "break pay" for future enrollment is not a viable option for students. Supplementing that lost income is extremely difficult, given the small time frames where it is taken away and the high cost of living in some areas.
Additionally, scholarships that are awarded and applied towards students' tuition should be credited on top of what is already being paid. Otherwise, the core incentives which scholarships offer are removed for these students.
Please reconsider how these issues are structured.
