Change how birth control is administered by testing hormones and insulin in regards to women who may have PCOS!

Created by K.H. on April 19, 2014

Women are given birth control without there hormones being checked. This can create a big problem with women who have a hormone imbalance because the pill can cause insulin resistance and then add to the hormone imbalance. Women who are prone to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome may develop this illness because the pill adds to insulin resistance & causes weight gain in women that are already prone to insulin resistance which then can trigger PCOS. These women that have PCOS are treated with the pill which makes symptoms worse & may trigger illnesses like heart disease & Type 2 diabetes. I think Drs. should do mandatory testing of women's hormones before placing them on the pill.
