We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Change the income of members of Congress to the income of the average American family

Created by K.B. on December 16, 2016

Congress is supposed to represent the average citizens of America. As of 2012, the average congressman was averaging about 174,000 dollars, and Speaker averaging 223,500. Despite it not being used in 7 years, members of congress may request an increase in their salary.
We have a democratic republic, not an oligarchy. Our representatives should not be allowed to pass laws which benefit them, and not the average working class family.
The average American family earns around 51,000 dollars annually, making it so our own representatives are earning 3.4 times the people they're representing's income.
Some may worry this will result in an inability to fund campaigns and adds, however politicians are earning enough money from superPACS and other donations.
Make a change, prevent corruption.
