No one likes to pay taxes, and there is no system of tax reform that will make everyone happy. However, everyone agrees that the tax system should be fair. Currently, many hard working Americans are paying up to 39.6% of their incomes in federal income taxes while others pay only 10%. It is entirely unfair that millions of Americans must pay a much higher percentage of their hard earned income in taxes than others. This petition asks that the current system of taxation be revised and that all tax brackets pay taxes at rates within a ten percent range. This reform would make the current United States tax system much more fair by allowing all Americans to pay similar percentages if their incomes in taxes and preventing Americans from paying tax rates that are either unreasonably high or low.
