change the interest rates on student loans and in turn, it will help the economy grow!

Created by Z.C. on February 21, 2014

Currently, I am paying, on average, 6% - 7% annually on my student loans. My student loan balance is just north of $30,000. Yearly, I am paying $2,000 in just interest payments on my student loans. That equals out to be $167.66 a month.

My wife also has student loans and pays a little more then I do. Together, That is almost $400 a month just on interest. I believe that is ridiculous! It is half of a house payment, definitely, it is a full car payment!

I believe student loan interest should be lower, near 1-3%. It would save couples money, and in turn, help the economy grow!

I would like the Obama administration to take a look at this serious issue, and address it, and make a change! What ever happened to, "YES WE CAN"!
