Use current Federal Bural of Investigations to investigate State and Local Police instead of allowing them to use their own local Internal Affairs Departments. A large percent of our populas is loosing faith in our police departments ability to police themselves. When an American Citizen is abused by those who are sworn to protect them, asking their peers to investigate them and prosecute them seems unrealistic.
News of late seems to be saturated with articles reporting questionable police activity including but not limited to the shooting death of Lamon Khiry Haslip; Shooting death of Chavis Carter; and brutal beating and incarceration of Robert Leone.
More and more unarmed American citizens have been shot in "self defense" by police than any other time in recent history.
