With tensions between northeast Asian countries rising steadily, the region badly needs a persuasive call for peace. Countries in the region need a wake up call and strong reminders of the costs of failing to maintain peace. On his upcoming trip, President Obama should insist that meetings be held in Hiroshima and Nanjing instead of Tokyo and Beijing.
