Change the language of the U.S. Constitution to honor all genders!

We need to gender neutralize the language in the U.S. Constitution.
If this seems radical, that's only because of how strongly male dominance persists. If this seems petty, that's only because of how reflexively male dominance is assumed. If this seems impossible, that's only because we still haven’t shed the culture of gender inequality. The idea that women and genderqueer people are second-class citizens is so in our faces that we often don't see it. The fact that the word "man" is still used to stand in for "people" is one of the clearest symbols of how maleness is privileged, centered and normed. If you don't feel as though your sense of identity and worth are affected by this, that only shows how central this imbalance is to our identities: What you don't notice, you take for granted.
