Change the Law that a CDL experienced Driver does not have to retrain to re-enter the work force,

I drove a truck cross country for 35 years, been off the road for a year, due to sickness, I recently tried to get my CDL back and to get a Job driving a truck once again, was told I would have to go to Truck Driving School and be re-trained , I've drove close to 3 million miles and have even worked as a CDL Instructor Myself and Now they tell me I have re-train, This is a Disgrace,,, This is clearly a Make money Scam these company's are doing, is this even a law, please start a Investigation
