A petition to change the law concerning Concurrent Receipt Disability Payment (CRDP) for Veterans. Remove the current 50% threshold scheduled to be enacted by 2014, make retroactive to the date of retirement that all retired veterans with any disability receive full retired pay as well as any just disability compensation. Current law forces veterans with a disability rating of less than 50% to fully fund their service connected disability by reducing earned retired pay at the same dollar amount received from the VA due to a service connected disability. Military retirement is hard earned compensation for sacrifices made while serving our Nation. This century old practice is unjust and must stop immediately.
