Change the law on importing foreign cars from 25 years, to 15 years.

Car enthusiasts across the nation have suffered from this unjust law that deems it illegal to import many vehicles into the country until it is 25 years old. The supposed reasoning for this is, that the vehicles need to be submitted for safety testing, a process that can easily reach $1,000,000 per model. While we understand the need for safety, the costs related to this make these cars unobtainable to the average American. We feel that 15 years is an ample amount of time to determine (through statistics and reports) if a vehicle is safe for U.S. roadways. Please correct this injustice quickly.
