Due to the president elects buying votes by promising more subsidies, aid, and anything else that appeals to those already receiving it, there should be a standard as to who should be allowed to vote. Otherwise all future elections, as this past one, will be bought by who can promise the most appealing entitlements.
I think such persons are biased for the wrong reasons. I feel if they are accepting any government subsidies then they should not be allowed to vote. They do not pay taxes and of course they will vote for the "share the wealth" ideals.
It used to be you had to own land to be eligible to vote. This would be a great requirement for eligibility, or at least have a job and pay taxes.
