Change Laws that Redefine the term "Property" as to Allow a Full Spectrum of Animal Rights and Protection for Our Pets.

Created by R.L. on January 06, 2013

Dogs and cats are intelligent, thinking, and feeling sentient beings, not inanimate objects. When we bring them into our homes, we do so with the intention of providing a loving, caring, and secure environment form them to thrive in.

The current animal rights and protection laws in this country are not severe enough. People should serve long jail sentences under a Class B felony for inflicting extreme pain, suffering and death on these creatures.

All intelligent life should be treated with dignity and respect and afforded equal levels of protection and rights.

We propose that the legal term "property" -- as defined under the 4th Amendment -- with regard to dogs and cats be removed and the animals only acquired through adoption processes and no longer allowed to be bought and sold.
