Change the Laws Regarding Discharged Student Loans - A Disabled Person Should Not Be Taxed For Discharged Loans.

Created by H.H. on March 14, 2015

I have been disabled since 2010. I recently was told I could have my student loans discharged, as I cannot afford to pay them, since I am disabled. I was told that I would be taxed on all $70,000 worth of student loans. If I fill out my taxes this year, I will have a huge tax bill, I just can't pay.

I am requesting the President and Congress change or enact a bill that will prevent discharged loans from being taxed. This is extremely important, as I barely make enough money from disability to pay anything beyond my normal bills.

Thank you.
