Change the laws surrounding persons under the age of 18 who are convicted of a felony charge

Created by R.R. on October 16, 2011

Persons under the age of 18 charged as an adult for non violent Felonies such as property crime are scarred for life as a criminal.

Many of these persons go on to lead law abiding lives, having families and moving on and learning from their mistakes. They are labeled a criminal for life, unable to own or possess firearms, legally vote in elections or get decent jobs.

We petition you to change these laws to allow persons under 18 charged with a felony to allow them the ability to clear their record after the age of 21. Restoring their rights as citizens of the United States. We petition you to include this to future and past crimes so long as the offender did not comment any further acts against their community
