At age 18 you can marry, go to war, smoke, buy a house or a car, have children, and carry on as an adult. But you can drink. Every where else in the world drinking is normal. Have a glad of wine with dinner. We should be educating our children on this. Not restrict their life for 3 years after becoming an "adult". If you can die for this country. if you can smoke and give yourself lung cancer. At age 18. Then you can drink at 18.
