People that have demonstrated good character and conduct following a mdv conviction should be given another chance if they have proven they have learned from a mistake they have made in the past. I believe ten years of good conduct should be a sufficient amount of time to earn a fundamental right back. I also believe each case should be looked at depending on severity in determining punishment. I was striped of my gun rights forever for grabbing a arm. I have since graduated from college, started a family, and lived a peaceful life for over 15 years.
