Change marijuana's schedule 1 classification to schedule 3.

Marijuana being in the same schedule as drugs like heroine and meth is total nonsense. The government needs to recognize marijuana's medicinal potential and begin allowing research on a drug that nearly 1/3 of all americans have tried. If its schedule is changed to 3, it will allow research facilities to look into its benefits as well as end the lockup of thousands of harmless people a year who are in possession of a substance no more harmful than alcohol. Not only will this save the government the outrageous amount of money they spend enforcing their marijuana policy, it will allow us to focus our attention on more dangerous drugs that are actually ruining peoples lives and causing numerous deaths per year.
