Change the marriage penalties in social security law.

I am starting this petition to draw attention to the many disabled Americans who are being punished for falling in love and wanting to marry. Besides myself, I have researched thousands of other Americans who are struggling to to these penalties. If a disabled person marries someone who works and makes $1050 dollars per month, the disabled person is immediately terminated from social security. If a disabled person marries another disabled person, one of them loses a check completely. This problem has my disabled husband and I in a serious struggle. Now that I have been laid off from my job, we are struggling to survive. I reapplied for benefits, but the process is extremely long and drawn out with the hope that a person will give up.
