change the method by which the Social Security retirement and disability COLA (cost of living adjustment) is determined.

Created by G.A. on March 15, 2014

Currently the Obama Administration is fighting for a higher minimum wage. This is not without consequences to those on Social Security.
Should the minimum wage be significantly raised prices will be raised, unions will demand higher wages, interest rates will increase and the result will be inflation. Individuals and families will be overwhelmed by higher prices while trying to live on a fixed income. By changing the basis for determining cost of living adjustments from the current basis to "real inflation" this will go a long way in providing a level of income that those on Social Security can remain independent on.
