Change military pay laws. Ex military spouses receiving retirement pay cannot have this pay garnished for child support

Created by W.S. on February 13, 2013

In accordance with current military retirement pay laws, an ex military spouse receiving a court ordered portion of a retired military members retirement pay, cannot have this pay garnished for paying their portion of child support. However, if the retired military member receives military retirement then this pay can be garnished to pay child support. This is unfair and needs to be changed to include all military retirement pay can be garnished to repay court ordered child support.
