To bring Mission Iraq into agreement with international regulations and diplomatic agreements, the previous exception granted to contractor and Third Country National personnel to receive limited mail service at Diplomatic Post Office facilities will expire October 1, 2013 and it will not be renewed.
Employees requiring personal mail service may use DHL services but are unable to utilize the services of the United States Postal Service.
This change does not affect U.S. direct hires and Civil Service (including Excepted Civil Servants, and Personal Service Contractors (PSCs) employed directly by the USG.
This policy however denies the ability for U.S. citizens working abroad to receive mail via USPS unless they are directly working for the USG.
