We have over 800 military bases throughout the world. We are spending hundreds of billions of dollars a year on weapons system that will only be used to wage wars killing people outside the U.S. We are engaged in a number of foreign conflicts that are undeclared wars that have nothing to do with defense. Therefore, let us be more accurate in changing the name of the Department of Defense to something reflecting it's true purpose and mission.
