permanently change the name of the state of 'Florida' to 'South Georgia'

Created by T.B. on April 24, 2015

The reasons below are poignant and convincing:

1) It's south of georgia. Just like South Dakota is south of North Dakota. It makes sense.
2) When I talk politics with the average American, it most often ends with at least one side growing irrationally angry. There's a good chance this decision would make many citizens from both states to become irrationally angry. That's good politics.
3) It's kind of funny, and for what it's worth, it rings true to a certain degree.
4) It gives florida peaches, and georgia beaches. That's a great pitch to sell the masses. I think it'll stick.
5) It's one less state name to remember. Given the trend towards lowering U.S. education standards, it works.
6) It's a fantastic abuse of executive power. Can't you like, sign another executive order or something?
