I believe that as a country dedicated to innovation, we must start renaming our American Cities to reflect our dedication to the innovators who made our country what it was. While I hope that we do not stop with just Kanye West, Florida, I understand fully I can not ask for too much.
However, I do believe Baton Rouge, Louisiana would be better served under the name Nicolas Cage. I don't want to be the final decider here, though. I believe there should be public votes on all official name changes. Except for Kanye West, Florida. To steal that from him would be worse than what the Grammy's did when they gave somebody by the name of Gretchen Wilson a Best New Artist award over him.
I don't see anybody making petitions in her honor. It's time we right our wrongs, Obama.
